We are looking for an SQF Practitioner, who is responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of our food products based on SQF standard, at our Vancouver location at 1591 Franklin St, Vancouver, BC V5L 1P3, with a working schedule of 40 hours per week. English is the only required language for our employees and you will meet colleagues from cross cultural backgrounds.

 

Job Highlights:

  • Full-time,Permanent; Starting immediately at $22.60 per hour;
  • Semi-annual performance review to get a salary raise;

Job Duties:

  • Develop, implement and maintain the food safety plan based on SQF standard, tailored to the food processing operations and products of our company.
  • Supervise and verify the activities adherence to procedures across all stages of food processing, including receiving, processing and packaging.
  • Identify critical control points and establish methods and controls to mitigate identified risks.
  • Review the effectiveness of the systems and identify areas of improvement for productivity and quality.
  • Train staff on principles and food safety practices.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new regulations, and best practices related to HACCP and food safety.
  • Prepare and maintain related documentation, records, and reports.

 

About qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary school is required. Bachelor’s degree or higher credential is preferred.
  • At least one year working experience in the food or beverage processing industry is required.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP system
  • Professional training or certificate in HACCP or other food safety-related certifications is a strong plus.
