POSITION OVERVIEW
The Regional Coach provides tailored and specific coaching to a selected group of employees to enhance their business development banker skills. Depending on the priorities of the region, their efforts may be geared towards new hires or existing employees to support new initiatives or specific skill development or to accompany high-potential individuals in reaching their next step.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Provide individual coaching, feedback and action plan follow-up with new or existing employees in a business development role.
In collaboration with the learning team, produce, when required, a group cohort class for employees (new hires or existing employees) based on need for new initiatives or specific skill development.
Work closely with members of the regional strategy implementation team and the learning specialists to train business development cohorts on common learning topics related to business development (CLICs, marketing tools, BDC policies, business, credit guidelines, segmentation, etc.).
Collaborate with Business Centre managers by providing feedback as part of the ongoing integration and development of employees to ensure alignment of management and/or tracking of training plans.
Provide support to the local coaches in the region to ensure they possess the right training and resources to give high quality of coaching to employees.
Track coaching needs for the region to ensure a sufficiently large and diverse pool of local coaches.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, business administration or equivalent
Five or more years of experience in a business development role
Excellent track record and proven success in business development
Experience as a local coach
Excellent knowledge of collaborative tools and the Office 365 Suite
Proven track record of providing impactful coaching, focused on skill development
Self-motivated, strong peer collaborator, good diagnostic skills
Ability to adapt their coaching style to best support the employee being coached
Good facilitation, presentation skills
Excellent organizational skills and able to manage volume
Excellent communication and listening skills in English. French is an asset.
Being able to frequently travel across Ontario.
