The Waterplant Too Inc. is located at the north side of Winnipeg. We are pleased to provide customers with seafood, fresh meat, food, and groceries. We are a Filipino grocery store serving the community for over 15 years.

Currently, we are looking for two reliable experienced full-time cooks to join our store. The right candidate should perform the following duties:

·        Prepare and cook BBQ, salad, and other traditional Pilipino dishes

·        Inspect kitchens and food service areas

·        Train staff in preparations, cooking and handling of food

·        Supervise kitchen staff and helpers

·        Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

·        Clean kitchen and work areas

·        Manage kitchen operations

The right candidate should have:

·        Completed secondary education

·        We will provide training to the right candidate.

·        Some experience in Filipino cuisine is a great asset.

·        1 to less than 7 months of experience working in a commercial kitchen is a great asset.

·        Kitchen management experience is a great asset.

Personal suitability:

·        Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as be a collaborative team player in a team environment.

·        Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

·        Ability to comply with the applicable dress codes, safety and sanitation policies and maintain personal appearance and cleanliness.

·        Keep a sense of accuracy and attention to detail.

Employment condition:

·        Languages require basic English reading, listening and speaking skills, knowing Filipino languages is an asset.

·        Able to work early morning, evening, weekends, and shifts.

We will provide:

·        $18 to $24 hourly

·        60 to 80 hours bi-weekly
