Job roles and responsibilities
Provide technical support to employees and clients by phone, email, remote access, or in person.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, internet, printer, and network issues.
Install, set up, and configure computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
Install and update operating systems, software applications, and security programs.
Create and manage user accounts, passwords, and system access.
Help users resolve login, email, and application-related problems.
Record technical issues, solutions, and support requests in the help desk system.
Perform regular system updates and basic maintenance to keep computers running smoothly.
Assist with setting up new employee workstations and transferring equipment when needed.
Monitor computer systems and report complex technical issues to senior IT staff.
Help maintain network connectivity and ensure users can access company systems.
Provide basic training and guidance to users on software and company IT systems.
Follow company IT security policies and help keep company data and systems secure.
Test software and system updates before deployment and report any issues.
Work with the IT team to ensure technical problems are resolved in a timely manner
