This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position offering $37.00 per hour, with approximately 44–60 hours per week. The employer welcomes applications from newcomers to Canada and provides a supportive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing road and traffic conditions using GPS and other navigation equipment.
- Load and unload goods safely.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections.
- Monitor the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes and other equipment.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
- Complete required inspection reports and trip documentation.
- Follow applicable transportation, safety and workplace regulations.
- Maintain the vehicle and report any mechanical or safety issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Valid AZ Class Driver’s Licence.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Previous truck-driving experience is an asset.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Ability to work early morning, morning, evening and night shifts.
- Ability to work independently and safely in a fast-paced transportation environment.
