Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: $42.00 Hourly, for 30–40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: 56 East 23rd Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5V 1W9, and various soccer fields and training locations throughout the Lower Mainland–Southwest economic region of British Columbia.

Education: High school diploma is required – A degree in physical education or National Coaching Certificate program is an asset
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience is required.
Languages: Ability to communicate in English is required.

Job Description

Supra Fitness & Sports Inc. dba Supra Academy is seeking an experienced and qualified Licensed Youth Soccer Coach to plan, develop and deliver structured soccer training and player-development programs for youth athletes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for technical and tactical player development, athlete assessment, individualized and group training programs, talent identification, performance evaluation and preparation of athletes for competitive events.

Duties:

  • Plan, organize and conduct structured soccer training sessions and practices for youth athletes.
  • Assess individual athletes' technical abilities, physical conditioning, strengths, weaknesses and

    developmental needs.

  • Develop individualized and group training and player-development programs based on athletes' age, skill

    level, performance and competitive objectives.

  • Provide technical instruction and coaching in soccer skills, techniques and game situations.

  • Develop athletes' tactical understanding, positioning, decision-making and overall game awareness.

  • Analyze and evaluate individual and team performance and provide technical and tactical feedback.

  • Develop game plans, competitive strategies and training programs to prepare athletes and teams for games

    and tournaments.

  • Prepare and motivate athletes for competitive events.

  • Identify and evaluate athletic talent and support the development of athletes demonstrating competitive

    potential.

  • Monitor athlete progression and modify training programs and development objectives as required.

  • Provide individual and small-group player development and technical instruction.

  • Promote teamwork, discipline, accountability, sportsmanship and a positive competitive environment.

  • Communicate with athletes and parents regarding training objectives, player development and progression.

  • Ensure that training sessions and athletic activities are conducted safely and in accordance with organizational policies and applicable safety requirements.
