Description
We are looking for a well-experienced Food Services Manager for a well-known events and catering firm, Paramount Eventspace, located at 222 Rowntree Dairy Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L 9T2 Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
- Oversee daily food service operations for large-scale weddings, galas, and corporate events across multiple function rooms at Paramount Eventspace.
- Plan and coordinate banquet service workflows, including plated dining, buffet setups, and specialty food stations.
- Work with the culinary team to develop event-specific menus aligned with guest expectations, dietary needs, and venue capabilities.
- Determine service methods for each event and implement operational procedures to ensure seamless execution.
- Recruit, train, and supervise banquet servers, kitchen staff, and event support personnel.
- Prepare staffing schedules for high-volume events and monitor performance during setup, service, and teardown.
- Manage inventory of food supplies, equipment, banquet service ware, and specialty event materials.
- Negotiate procurement terms with food suppliers, rental vendors, and service partners to meet operational and budget requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Ontario public-health standards, food-safety regulations, and workplace safety protocols.
- Coordinate pre-event planning with clients and sales managers to confirm service scope, menu selections, and event logistics.
- Oversee event-day food service timing, guest-flow management, and coordination between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Resolve client or service issues promptly during events to maintain high satisfaction and protect venue reputation.
- Monitor food-cost ratios, labour costs, and event profitability; recommend improvements to pricing or service procedures.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency, menu presentation, and guest experience.
- Conduct post-event reviews to evaluate service quality, address operational gaps, and guide future planning.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more experience preferably in the Hospitality industry
Language: English
Hourly Wage: 36 to 39 for 30 to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
