Job Duties:
Key Responsibilities
🔨 Install, repair, replace, and maintain commercial roofing systems, including flat and low-slope roofs.
🏗️ Apply and work with a variety of roofing materials, including EPDM, TPO, SBS, modified bitumen, metal roofing, and other commercial roofing systems.
📏 Measure, cut, align, and secure roofing materials according to project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
🛠️ Inspect roofs to identify leaks, defects, damage, and maintenance requirements.
⚠️ Follow all company safety policies, fall protection procedures, and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
🚧 Set up and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, safety barriers, and other required equipment.
📋 Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, specifications, and project plans.
🤝 Work collaboratively with supervisors, crew members, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
🔍 Perform quality control checks to ensure all roofing work meets company and industry standards.
🧹 Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite at all times.
Job Requirements:
Core Requirements:
Experience in commercial roofing — Typically 3+ years of hands‑on experience.
Knowledge of roofing systems — Ability to install and repair TPO, PVC, EPDM, metal, bitumen, and built‑up systems.
Blueprint reading — Ability to interpret diagrams, drawings, and technical specifications.
Tool proficiency — Skilled with roofing tools, hand tools, and equipment such as boom lifts and scissor lifts.
Safety training — Understanding OSHA or equivalent safety guidelines and completing site‑specific safety orientations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work at heights — No fear of heights; comfortable working on steep or flat roofs.
Physical stamina — Lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, and working outdoors in all weather.
Manual dexterity — Precision in cutting, fastening, and aligning materials.
Additional Qualifications:
Attention to detail — Ensuring watertight seals and proper installation.
Math skills — Calculating measurements, material quantities, and cost estimates.
Reliable transportation — Ability to travel to job sites.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years commercial roofing experience with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of roofing systems including membrane, metal, and built‑up
Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical specifications
Proficient with roofing tools and equipment including lifts and safety gear
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
