Description
Grocery Store in Whistler is in need of Butcher (3 positions) to add to their diverse, reliable and energetic staff.
Job Location: 8200 Bear Paw Trail suite 101 Whistler, BC V0N 1B9
Workplace information: On site
Salary: $26.50 hourly / 30 hours per week

Job requirements
Overview
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work site environment: Odours, Cold/refrigerated
Work setting: Supermarket and meat department
Responsibilities
Tasks: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, Cut carcasses, sides and quarters, Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat, Wrap and package prepared meats, Remove bones from meat, Weigh meats for sale, Cut poultry into parts, Price meat products, Clean and prepare fish and shellfish, Sell meats to customers, Cut fish into steaks and fillets, Supervise other butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers, Grind meats, Train meat cutters, Make special sausages, Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products, Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood, Prepare special orders
Experience and specialization
Equipment and machinery experience: Band saw, Manual cutting utensil, Power grinder, Sausage machine, Slicing machine
