Job Requirements

– Education: Completion of Secondary (high) school
– Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience

Job Duties

– Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
– Maintain inventory and records of ingredients, supplies and equipment
– Order ingredients, supplies and equipment
– Plan menus and ensure uniform serving sizes and quality of meals
– Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers
– Inspect kitchens and food service areas

 

Support for youths

– on-the-job training tailored to youth
– mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth
