Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $23.30/hour
• Working Hours: 30-44 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 5201 Highway Avenue, Blackfalds, AB T0M 0J0

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook specialty meals and designated menu items
• Adjust recipes and food preparation to accommodate customer food allergies or dietary restrictions
• Supervise the daily activities of kitchen staff
• Plan menus and develop recipes in alignment with establishment food quality standards
• Instruct staff on cooking methods, garnishing, and equipment operation
• Estimate quantities and budgetary costs of required food supplies and ingredients
• Arrange for the purchase, maintenance, and repair of kitchen equipment
• Enforce sanitation, health, and safety regulations within the food preparation area

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience including supervisory experience is required
