We are looking for a reliable, full-time Child Caregiver for our child aged 2.

Position: Child Caregiver – Private Home

Number of Available Job: 1

Wage: C$20.00 per hour

Work Hours: 30.00 hours per week

Vacation: 10 days of paid vacation per year or 4% of gross salary for vacation pay

Language of Work: English

Employment Term: Permanent

Work Location and Setting: #4603-1480 Howe Street, Vancouver, BC (Employer’s home)

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.

Child’s Age: Two (2) years old, soon to be three (3) years old in September 2026.

Job Duties:

–        Supervise and care for the child in the employer’s home

–        Bathe, dress and feed the child

–        Take the child to appointments

–        Prepare and serve meals for the child

–        Change diapers for the child when needed

–        Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

–        Instructing children in personal hygiene, toilet training support, and social development.

–        Oversee the child's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the parents

–        Tend to emotional well-being of the child

–        Organize activities such as games, crafts and readings for the child

–        Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents

–        Perform other housekeeping and cleaning duties

–        Assume full responsibility for household in absence of the parents

Qualifications:

–        Completion of secondary school is required.

–        A minimum of 7 months of experience in a childcare setting or equivalent is required.

–        First aid certification and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification are required.

–        Criminal record check and reference are required.
