Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $30.16-$31.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 1010 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB R2W 3P7

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Manage daily kitchen operations and all food preparation
• Cook full meals and prepare signature specialty dishes
• Plan seasonal menus and maintain high food quality standards
• Track supply inventory and calculate food and labor costs
• Supervise and coordinate the kitchen staff during busy shifts
• Train kitchen staff on cooking techniques, plating, and health regulations
• Help interview, hire, and onboard new kitchen employees
• Order kitchen equipment and arrange for needed routine repairs

Job requirements:

• Experience: 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
