Description
Bowerman's is looking for Cabinet Makers
Responsibilities include:
- Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components
- Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage
- Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
- Instruct apprentices
- Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics
- Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products
- Maintain clean and safe work environment

Educational requirement:
- Cabinetmaker Trade Certification, or
- Joiner (Cabinetmaker) Trade Certification, or
- Cabinetmaker Red Seal Certificate
Related experience: 3 – 5 Years Experience
Wage offered: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour for 30 – 40 hours/week, Permanent, Full Time.
