Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Commercial Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves local, regional, and long-haul deliveries, including cross-border shipments. The driver will ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of freight while complying with all regulatory and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently for scheduled deliveries

• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues

• Load, unload, and secure freight to prevent shifting or damage

• Complete accurate delivery documentation, bills of lading, and border/customs paperwork as required

• Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules, delays, or operational issues

• Follow all company policies and provincial/federal transportation regulations

• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle

• Mentor and assist less experienced drivers when required

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a commercial truck driver operating Class 1 vehicles

• Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsement

• Knowledge of hours-of-service rules, safety regulations, and logbooks

• Ability to perform physical duties (coupling/uncoupling trailers, lifting cargo as needed)

• Strong communication skills and professionalism when dealing with dispatch, customers, and border officials
