Position Info:

• Position: Head Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $37.00-$38.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 19539 Fraser Highway, Surrey, BC V3S 6K7

Job Duties:

• Oversee the hiring and daily supervision of the entire kitchen operations
• Direct cooks on food preparation, garnishing, and plating standards
• Track food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory levels
• Analyze kitchen operating costs and performance data
• Estimate the volume and cost of food and supplies needed for service
• Train staff on new cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
• Develop original recipes and seasonal menu items
• Manage kitchen equipment procurement and maintenance

Job requirements:

• Experience: 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
