Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $24.00/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 7577 Wallace Drive, Saanichton, BC V8M 1N5

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Support the delivery of educational programs that foster children’s physical and social growth
• Lead engaging activities including storytelling, singing, and supervised craft projects
• Encourage creative expression through art, music, movement, and dramatic play
• Assist children with daily routines like dressing, eating, and developing hygiene habits
• Prepare healthy snacks and arrange classroom furniture for lunch and nap times
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by cleaning equipment and organizing play areas
• Observe children’s behavior and help educators document progress or developmental concerns

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in childcare is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and ECEA Certificate
