Position Info:

• Position: Accountant
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $38.46-$40.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 200-602 W Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V6B 1P2

Job Duties:

• Prepare periodic financial statements and summaries to assist management in reviewing the firm's overall performance
• Analyze project-specific budgets and operational costs to support the tracking of agency profitability and efficiency
• Maintain the organization's accounting systems and general ledger to ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
• Examine financial records to ensure regulatory compliance and prepare necessary government returns and tax filings
• Administer internal control procedures regarding expense reporting to safeguard company assets
• Assist in the coordination of the financial planning process by organizing data for departmental budgets and forecasts
• Support junior staff and administrative teams by providing guidance on financial workflows and billing best practices

Job Requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in finance or accounting is required
• Education: Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field is required
