Sandbox Early Learning is seeking F/T Early Childhood Educator Assistants.

Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $23.50-$24.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 3
• Work Location: 9648 128th Street, Surrey, BC V3T 2X9

Job Duties:

• Support program delivery by helping children participate in activities that promote their social and physical growth
• Prepare the learning environment by arranging furniture for meals and naps and prepping snacks
• Assist with daily care including guiding children through proper eating, dressing, and washroom habits
• Facilitate group activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing craft materials
• Encourage creative expression through art, music, and dramatic play as outlined by the lead educator
• Maintain equipment and supplies by performing safety checks on toys and ordering necessary classroom materials
• Observe and record child behavior or progress to help prepare reports for parents and supervisors

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in childcare is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate and ECEA Certificate
