Roofer Helper

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: $25.00 Hourly, for 40 Hours per week Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: 1765 Morgan avenue Port Coquitlam V3C1J6 & Various construction sites across the economic region depending on project needs
Education: No formal education is required

Experience: Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in roofing or construction labour preferred

Ability to work at heights and in outdoor weather conditions

Physically demanding: lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, prolonged standing

Basic understanding of construction site safety practices (training will be provided)

Languages: English language (basic communication for safety purposes)

Duties:

• Assist roofers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems (asphalt shingles, flat roofing materials, and membranes)

• Load, unload, and transport roofing materials and tools to and from roof level
• Set up and dismantle ladders, scaffolding, and safety barriers specific to roofing work
• Remove old roofing materials and debris from roofs and dispose of them safely
• Clean work areas and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards
• Support roofers by holding materials, preparing surfaces, and assisting with alignment and placement • Follow all workplace safety procedures, including fall protection protocols
