M.D.M. Roofing Ltd. is looking for a full-time and permanent 1 Roofer in Surrey, BC, V3V 1M5. (Even though this is a full-time position we encourage part time job seekers to apply as well). Salary is 36.60/hr and 30 to 40 hours/week.
Job Description:
- Apply built-up roofing systems with materials like asphalt-saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel.
- Install or replace roofing materials such as asphalt shingles, wood shingles, shakes, and masonry or clay tiles on sloped roofs.
- Lay roofing tiles on pitched building roofs.
- Carry out repairs on existing roofing systems.
- Use hand and power tools to install and repair metal roofing.
- Handle loading, unloading, and transporting of construction materials.
- Support framing activities, wall erection, and roof construction in housing projects.
- Conduct routine building and equipment maintenance tasks.
- Collect, clean, and stack reusable or salvaged materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on tools and equipment.
Employment Requirements and Education:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience may be an asset.
