Job Responsibilities:
1.Inspect roofs to check for damage, leaks, or wear before starting work.
2.Measure and cut roofing materials such as shingles, metal sheets, or membranes to the right size.
3.Install new roofs on residential homes according to project plans and safety codes.
4.Repair or replace damaged, old, or leaking roofs.
5.Apply roofing materials such as asphalt shingles, metal panels, or waterproof membranes using hand tools and power tools.
6.Install insulation, vapour barriers, and flashing to protect the roof from water damage.
7.Remove old or damaged roofing materials before installing new ones.
8.Set up and safely use ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment while working at heights.
9.Follow all safety rules and procedures to prevent accidents while working on roofs.
10.Work with other construction workers and supervisors to complete projects on schedule.
11.Clean up job sites by removing debris, old materials, and tools after finishing work.
12.Report any major roof damage or safety concerns to supervisors or clients.
13.Maintain and inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are safe and in good working condition.
14.Measure roof slopes and dimensions to determine the amount of materials needed for each project.
