Job Duties:

Provide hands-on support to children with special needs by assisting Early Childhood Educators in delivering daily learning and developmental activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
Closely observe children’s behaviour, learning progress, and developmental needs, and accurately document observations to share with supervising educators as required.
Support children in developing daily living skills, including eating, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene, in accordance with individual care plans and centre guidelines.
Assist in facilitating age-appropriate and inclusive activities such as storytelling, music, movement, and creative play to encourage participation, communication, and self-expression.
Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction by guiding children through structured routines and developmentally appropriate activities.
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive learning environment that prioritizes the health, safety, and emotional well-being of all children, particularly those requiring additional support.
Prepare brief written records and reports related to children’s daily activities, progress, or concerns, and submit them to supervisors as required.
Work collaboratively with educators and support staff to ensure consistent care, effective communication, and continuity of support for children with special needs.

Job requirements:

Language: English
Experience: Experience is an asset
Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required
Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and ECE Certificate (plus SNE)
