Responsibilities
Tasks
• Measure and mark cutting lines on drywall, following design plans and specifications.
• Position and secure drywall sheets and Attach drywall panels to ceilings and interior walls.
• Tape over joints by embedding joint tape and applying additional coats of compound to seams and screw heads, ensuring a smooth finish.
• Sand the dried compound to create a seamless surface.
• Repair and patch holes, cracks, and other imperfections in existing drywall surfaces.
• Inspect completed drywall installations to ensure they meet building codes and company standards.
• Make any necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality work.
• Interpret and understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and work orders to determine the layout and installation procedures.
• Load, unload, and transport drywall sheets and other materials to and from the job site.
• Store materials safely to prevent damage.
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Work with other construction professionals to ensure coordinated efforts and smooth workflow.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about project progress and any issues.
• Maintain and clean tools and equipment and report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
• Clean up the work area after the installation, ensuring it is free of dust and debris.
