Position Info:

• Position: Cook
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $23.00-$24.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 9626 Cameron St, Burnaby, BC V3J 1M2

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Cook full meals or specific dishes according to recipe standards and prep lists
• Modify meals for customers with allergies or special dietary needs to prevent cross-contamination
• Teach new staff and coworkers how to prep, cook, and handle food safely
• Lead the kitchen crew and helpers to make sure service runs smoothly and on time
• Count inventory and keep clear records of food usage, supplies, and gear
• Order all food and kitchen supplies needed to keep the station and pantry fully stocked
• Wash down work surfaces and deep-clean the kitchen to keep the space up to code

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
