Responsibilities
Tasks

1. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping old paint, and filling cracks or holes in walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.

2. Protect floors, furniture, windows, and fixtures using drop sheets, masking tape, and plastic coverings before starting painting work.

3. Apply primer, paint, varnish, stain, or other finishing materials to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.

4. Mix and match paint colors according to project requirements to ensure the correct shade and finish for the renovation work.

5. Repair minor wall damages such as small cracks, dents, or uneven surfaces before painting to ensure a smooth finish.

6. Work on both interior and exterior painting projects during home renovation, remodeling, or repair work.

7. Maintain painting tools and equipment such as brushes, rollers, ladders, and spray machines to ensure safe and efficient work.

8. Follow safety procedures when working on ladders, scaffolding, or elevated areas during painting projects.

9. Coordinate with renovation teams such as drywall installers, carpenters, and contractors to complete painting work according to project timelines.

10. Clean the work area after completion of painting tasks and properly dispose of leftover materials and waste.

11. The painter should communicate properly with clients, provide appropriate information about the painting work, and consider any specific requirements, preferences, or desired finishes requested by the client.

12. Maintain clear communication and coordination with other team members and assist them with tasks when required to ensure smooth progress of renovation work.

13. Have proper knowledge of layout and project plans so work can be carried out correctly, and ensure tasks are completed within the required timelines.

14. Ensure work is completed in a budget-friendly manner while minimizing material waste.

15. Follow instructions provided by team members and supervisors and carry out assigned tasks accordingly.
