Job Type: Full-time, three-year contract

Job Description:
Friendly Nails in Sylvan Lake, Alberta is seeking a motivated Nail Salon Manager to oversee the daily operations of our salon. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining efficient salon operations. This position requires strong organizational skills and experience in the nail service industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and oversee the daily operations of the nail salon to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Develop, implement, and maintain salon policies and procedures for staff operations and customer service standards.
• Manage and monitor the salon’s budget, expenses, and inventory of nail products and supplies.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a professional manner and resolve service issues promptly.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise nail technicians and other salon staff.
• Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels during business hours.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and service quality within the salon.
• Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, training, and support to ensure quality service delivery.

Employment Requirements:

• Completion of high school or equivalent experience.
• Certifications in esthetics, manicuring, pedicuring, or massage therapy are an asset.
• Minimum two years of experience in performing manicures and pedicures, including applying gel polish (Shellac).
• Minimum two years of experience in different nail extension and enhancement techniques, including acrylic, bio-gel and dip nails.
• Minimum two years of experience in hand and foot massage.
• Experience in supervisory or managerial roles is an asset.
• Availability on weekends is an asset. 
• Strong customer service skills.
• Basic English communication skills are required.
• Must be punctual and organized.
• Willing to relocate to work in-person.
