JOB DUTIES:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the building’s interior and exterior areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and service areas.
- Inspect and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure proper operation.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from various departments to minimize downtime.
- Repair or replace fixtures such as lights, faucets, locks, door handles, tiles, and drywall.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the maintenance workshop and ensure tools and materials are stored safely.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to extend the life of equipment and building systems.
- Assist in setting up, assembling, or moving furniture and equipment as needed for operations or events.
- Maintain landscaping, walkways, and outdoor areas to ensure the property remains clean, safe, and attractive.
- Monitor building safety systems, including alarms and fire suppression equipment, and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Keep maintenance logs and record all repairs, replacements, and service activities.
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations, and use protective gear and equipment when necessary.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
PREREQUISITES:
Education: Secondary school or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more experience in building and facility maintenance within luxury hotels and resorts.
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $28.85 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
Benefits: 4% vacation pay
