Full job description

1. Job Details

– Location: SW 24 35 01 W3Elstow, SK S0K 1M0,  Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

– Salary: $23/hour

– Number of job vacancies: 5 vacancies

– Term of employment: Permanent Employment, Full-time, 30 to 40 hours/week

– Start date: as soon as possible

3. Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

4. Experience: Will train

5. Work site environment

– Hog and pig farming, Dusty, Noisy, Odours

6. Duties

• Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses
• Handling animals
• Marking livestock as proof of ownership
• Monitoring animal health
• Perform livestock feeding
• Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration
• Feed and tend animals
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Maintain livestock performance records
• Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
• Maintain work records and logs
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
• Perform general farm duties
• Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops
