Permanent, Full time
40 hours/week
Rate: $24.65 per hour
Work Setting: Employer's home, Heriot Bay Quadra Island
Free room and board
Relocation cost paid by the employer
Language: Ability to read, speak and write in English
Education: High school certificate
Experience: minimum 7 months’ paid elderly-care experience in a home setting
Reliability, honesty, flexibility, dependability, good judgment, commitment to a full-time job are required
Criminal Record Check and references are required
Duties:
Administer bedside and personal care
Assist in oral medications
Assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Assist in regular exercise, walk
Feed or assist in feeding
Launder clothing and household linens
Provide companionship
Provide personal care
Shop for food and household supplies
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Driving required to doctors' appointments and grocery shopping
Perform light cleaning duties, laundry and cooking
