Live-in Caregiver for a Person with Disability

  Number of Positions: One (1)

  Permanent, Full time

  30-40 hours per week

  Rate:18.25 – $24.50 per hour 

  Work Setting: Employer's home

  Free room and board

  Language:  Ability to read, speak and write in English in an unsupervised setting

  Education: High school certificate

  Experience: minimum 7 months’ continuous paid caregiving experience in a home setting

  Reliability, honesty, flexibility, dependability, good judgment, commitment to a full-time job is required

  Duties:

  Administer bedside and personal care
  Assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  Assist in oral medication, regular exercise
  Feed or assist in feeding
  Launder clothing and household linens
  Provide companionship
  Shop for food and household supplies, as required
  Cook, prepare and serve nutritious meals

  Care for pets

  Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
