Position Info:

• Position: Civil Engineering Technician
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $38.00/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: #220-10330 152 Street, Surrey, BC V3R 4G8

Job Duties:

• Conduct field measurements of buildings and structures using laser and conventional measuring tools
• Record and verify measurement data accurately to support CAD drafting and technical documentation
• Participate in site visits and inspections to observe and document existing conditions, noting structural and spatial details
• Assist in producing precise CAD drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and site layouts
• Support senior engineers or technologists in preparing reports, specifications, and project documentation
• Collaborate with design and drafting teams to ensure field data is accurately reflected in drawings
• Maintain measuring equipment, field instruments, and CAD files to ensure accuracy and reliability

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Education: College program or certification in civil engineering technology is required
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in civil engineering technology is required
