Position Info:

• Position: Chef de partie
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $23.00-25.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 898 Homer Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 2W5

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook menu items while ensuring all dishes meet the restaurant’s established quality and presentation standards
• Plan and organize food preparation activities and ensure that meals are prepared according to menu specifications
• Monitor food quality and consistency to maintain high culinary standards across kitchen operations
• Order and manage food and kitchen supplies and assist with monitoring inventory levels
• Maintain records related to food costs, inventory usage, and kitchen supply consumption
• Provide guidance and support to cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen workflow
• Demonstrate proper cooking techniques and safe use of kitchen equipment to kitchen staff when required
• Assist in supervising kitchen staff and coordinating daily food preparation activities

Job Requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
