We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive full-time home child care provider to support our family in caring for a school-aged child and managing light household tasks. Parents are typically present in the home. This position requires evening and weekend availability and is heavily focused on after-school transportation, daily cleanup related to the child, and maintaining organized common areas. Parking spot available.

 

Main duties

  • Take care of the child in the private household.
  • Take responsibility for household when the parents are absent.
  • Take the child to appointments, before- and after- school.
  • Take care of the child so they may be emotionally well-being.
  • May be required to perform light housekeeping, cleaning, managing clothing and household linens, and cooking duties (including buying groceries and household supplies when needed).
  • Guide and educate the child by following the parents’ request.
  • Teach the child social development and personal hygiene.
  • Keep records of the child’s daily activities and health information.
  • Most importantly, ensure and maintain a safe and healthy environment at home.

 

Employment Requirements

  • First Aid Certificate is required.
  • Background check (Child Abuse Registry check and Criminal Record check) will be conducted.
  • Completion of secondary school may be required.
  • Child care or household management experience may be required.
  • Flexible availability for weekends and holidays is required.
  • Must be fluent in English.
