Wage: $20.00 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week

Vacation: 10 days paid vacation or 4% vacation pay as per Employment Standards

Job Description

We are a private household with one young child, seeking a responsible and caring Home Child Care Provider to provide daily childcare in our home.

The successful candidate will support our child’s daily routine in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment, and will work closely with parents to support the child’s daily needs and development.

Responsibility:

• Provide daily supervision and care for our child in the employer’s home
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the child
• Assist with daily routines such as morning preparation, after-school care and parental guidance
• Plan, organize, and supervise age-appropriate activities, such as play, learning actives  and homework support
• Encourage healthy habits positive behavior, and emotional well-being
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for the child at all times
• Perform light housekeeping related to childcare, including tidying play areas, cleaning up after meals, and washing the child’s laundry
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding the child’s routine, progress, and any concerns

Job Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school
• Previous childcare experience is an asset
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Patience, reliability, and genuine interest in caring for children
• First Aid / CPR certification is an asset
