Home Child Care Provider

Our family is currently looking for a full-time child caregiver to care for our two young children in our own private home in North Vancouver.  Please note, as our kids are school-aged, this is a split-shift position where we require help before and after school and some occasional weekends. Typical shift may be 7:00am – 9:30am and 2pm to 5:30pm weekdays.  Weekend shifts will vary based on needs and will be communicated in advance. Schedule will change during summer hours and kids' scheduled school breaks but will still be minimum 30 hours per week. Please only respond if you are available and open to possible weekend work. Some travel with the family may be required and all costs associated with this would be covered.

Location:  North Vancouver, BC V7R 4B6

Work location: On site at employer’s home. Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Salary: $20.00 hourly / 30 hours per week

Responsibilities + Tasks:

• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Supervise and care for children
• Take children to and from school and to appointments
• Tend to emotional well-being of children
• Help children with homework
