Position Info:

• Position: Housekeeping Manager
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $24.00/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 9504 Alaska Road N, Fort St. John, BC V1J 6L5

Job Duties:

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations to maintain consistent cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the hotel.
• Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and work routines to support efficient departmental operations.
• Supervise housekeeping staff, assign daily duties and prepare work schedules based on hotel occupancy and operational needs.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and other assigned spaces to ensure required cleanliness and quality standards are maintained.
• Monitor staff performance, provide feedback and conduct periodic performance evaluations.
• Ensure housekeeping employees follow hotel safety procedures, sanitation requirements and established departmental policies.
• Maintain adequate inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, guest amenities, uniforms and housekeeping equipment.
• Arrange the purchase or replacement of housekeeping supplies and equipment as required.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair requests for guest rooms, housekeeping equipment and other assigned areas with the appropriate hotel departments.
• Address housekeeping-related guest concerns and take appropriate action to resolve service or cleanliness issues.

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a related industry is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
