Main duties
· Establish and calibrate both manual and automated food and beverage processing and packaging equipment to meet production requirements
· Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, tables, or sample parts to identify required machining operations and determine the most efficient sequence of steps.
· Operate specialized process control machinery via control panels, computer terminals, and automated systems for tasks such as grinding, extracting, mixing, blending, drying, freezing, and cooking food and beverage products
· Lead the transition from manual operations to automated and AI-driven production systems
· Calculate dimensions and tolerances, then measure and mark materials accordingly.
· Set up, operate, and maintain various machine tools, including CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machines, to carry out precise, non-repetitive machining tasks such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, planing, drilling, precision grinding, and more.
· Assemble and fit machined metal components and subassemblies using both hand and power tools.
· Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with company specifications and promptly resolved any machine blockages or operational issues
· Inspect and verify product dimensions for accuracy and compliance with technical specifications using precision measuring tools.
· May also be responsible for programming and setting up machine tools for use by machining tool operators.
· Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on machinery and kept work areas organized and sanitary
Employment requirements
· Completion of a secondary school is required.
· 4+ years of work experience in a similar role or combination of relevant education and work experience
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Exceptional time management skills, attention to details, team player.
· Ability to multi- task, independence and prioritise multiple projects.
