Wage: $20.00 – 22.00 per hour

About Us

Located in the neighbourhood of Gastown, one of the famous tourist attractions in Vancouver, we showcase a unique and authentic Korean dining every day, as Zoomak, the name itself means an old Korean tavern/bistro that served travelers with good food, drinks, and even lodging. We want to the same by serving an authentic Korean dining experience with a hint of a modern take on it. We are all about creating a new category for Korean cuisine in Vancouver.

We are now looking for an experienced food service supervisor to join our Zoomak team!

Main duties

• Oversee the daily food service in all areas of kitchen and dining room
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Handle shift schedules for food services workers and assign them tasks on daily basis
• Coordinate frequent workplace inspections
• Plan menus and determine related food and labour costs
• Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of worker
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
• Ensure strict compliance with restaurant’s standards in all aspects of service
• Participates in menu preparation, ensuring menus are updated and recipes are revised
• Ensure all equipment is clean and maintained
• Communicate positively and enthusiastically to the restaurant patrons and address their issues promptly

Employment Requirements

• Completion of secondary school
• Flexible availability for weekends & holidays
• At least one- or two- years of experience in customer service or similar roll may be required
• One- or two- years of experience in food service sector may be required
• English language ability is required
• Completion of one- or two-years relevant program, or completion of a college or equivalent program is a plus.
