Hope Korean Kitchen in Hope, BC is looking for a Food Preparer to join our team.

Position: Food Preparer

Number of Positions: 1

Hourly Wage: C$17.85 ~ C$18.00

Work Hours: 30.00 ~ 40.00 hours per week

Vacation: 10 business days of paid vacation per year or 4% of gross salary

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Main Job Duties:

·      Take customers’ orders

·      Prepare ingredients by cleaning, peeling, slicing and cutting vegetables, fruit and other foodstuffs

·      Prepare, heat and finish simple food items such as tempura (deep fries)

·      Portion and wrap food or place it directly on plates

·      Package take-out food and serve customers at counters

·      Receive, unpack and store food and supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas

·      Follow health, food safety and sanitation guidelines.

·      Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with the daily checklists and cleaning standards.

Qualifications:

No experience is required. On-the-job training is provided.

No degree, certificate or diploma is required, but minimum completion of Grade 10 is needed.
