Visscher Farms Ltd. o/a VFL is looking for a Farm Supervisor
The Farm Supervisor is responsible for supervising the activities of farm workers involved in crop production.
The role ensures that all farm operations are completed efficiently, safely, and according to established farm standards.
The Farm Supervisor also assists with equipment operation and maintenance as required to support overall farm operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas
- Cut agricultural crops
- Develop specific plans to prioritize
- Mixing fertilizer
- Organize tasks to accomplish the work
- Shear and shape trees and plants with knife
- Soil fertility programs
- Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting
- Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
- Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
- Maintain quality control and production records
- Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
- Maintain work records and logs
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Perform general farm duties
