Visscher Farms Ltd. o/a VFL is looking for a Farm Supervisor

Responsibilities include:

• Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas
• Cut agricultural crops
• Develop specific plans to prioritize
• Mixing fertilizer
• Organize tasks to accomplish the work
• Shear and shape trees and plants with knife
• Soil fertility programs
• Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting
• Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Maintain quality control and production records
• Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
• Maintain work records and logs
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Perform general farm duties

Equipment and machinery experience

• Bulk handling system
• Fertilizer applicator
• Harvesters
• Seed drill
• Sprayer or duster
• Tractor
• Forklift

Area of specialization

• Agricultural crop service

Supervision

• 1 to 2 people

Related experience: 1 – 2 Years Experience

Wage offered:  $28.00 per hour for 30 – 50 hours/week, Permanent, Full Time.
