Description

We are looking for a well-experienced Ethnic Food Cook for a well-known events and catering firm, Paramount Eventspace, located at 222 Rowntree Dairy Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L 9T2 Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

 

  • Prepare and cook complete ethnic meals and specialty dishes for large-scale weddings, banquets, and corporate events based on client-specific menus.

  • Execute high-volume production of culturally customized dishes while maintaining consistency, presentation, and service standards expected at a premium event venue.

  • Perform advance mise en place for scheduled events, including preparation of proteins, sauces, seasonings, and accompaniments in banquet-scale quantities.

  • Cook and finish dishes within tightly scheduled service windows to support synchronized plated, buffet, and station-based service.

  • Adapt cooking methods, seasoning, and portion sizes to meet client preferences, cultural requirements, and special dietary requests.

  • Support menu execution for diverse events by following event-specific recipes and instructions provided by chefs and banquet leads.

  • Coordinate closely with chefs, banquet supervisors, and service teams to ensure timely delivery of food during events.

  • Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in a high-capacity kitchen, including temperature control and allergen awareness.

  • Monitor ingredient usage at assigned stations and report shortages or quality issues prior to scheduled events.

  • Assist with setup, breakdown, cleaning, storage, and labeling of kitchen work areas to support back-to-back event operations.


 

Prerequisites:

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent

Experience & Skills: 3 years to 5 years experience preferably in the Food industry

Language: English


 

Hourly Wage: $36 to $38 for 30 to 40 hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay,
