SISI TOT EDUCATION INC. is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Educator.
 
Position: 
Early Childhood Educator (NOC 42202)

Full-time, Permanent
 
Educational Requirements:
– Completion of a college program in early childhood education
 
Job requirements:
– A valid Early Childhood Educator Certification in BC
– First Aid Certificate
– CPR Certificate
– Experience an asset
 
Language Requirements:
– English
 
Start date:
ASAP
 
Wage:
$25.00 – $26.00/hour *Including $6/hour of the wage enhancement
 
Hours:
35 hours per week
 
Benefits:
– 10 days paid vacation (4% vacation pay)
– 5 days of paid sick leave per year
 
Job Duties: 
– Develop and implement quality child care programs to support and promote the healthy emotional, social and cognitive development of children
– Develop and maintain daily program schedules, including indoor and outdoor activities, active play and quiet time
– Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and engaging children in creative expression through art, dramatic play, music and physical activities
– Guide children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
– Observe and assess children’s abilities, interests, and development, identify potential learning or behavioural concerns, and document and discuss progress or issues with parents, supervisors, and other staff members
– Maintain open communication with parents and provide updates on children’s daily activities and well-being during drop-off and pick-up times
– May supervise ECE Assistants
