1. Job Duties
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
- Assist skilled trades workers with steel framing, wood framing, drywall installation, and finish carpentry.
- Perform routine site maintenance and housekeeping.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Perform basic cutting tasks as required (using hand or power tools, under supervision).
- Operate equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers (if certified).
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites when required.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures.
2. Experience
- Minimum 2 years of construction experience required.
- Previous work on large job sites considered an asset.
- Experience in steel framing, wood framing, drywall installation, and finish carpentry considered an asset.
- Proficiency in using common hand tools required.
3. Training & Certifications (considered an asset)
- WHMIS.
- Fall Protection.
- Experience and certification in boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers considered an asset.
4. Language
- English required.
5. Required PPE – Own Equipment (can be provided)
- Steel-toed safety boots – minimum 6-inch height.
- Hard hat Type 2 – protection against lateral, front, and rear impacts/penetration; must include chin strap; color: yellow.
- Gloves – suitable for construction tasks.
- High-visibility vest, Class 2.
6. Work Site Requirements
- Work environment: outdoors, at heights, noisy and dusty conditions.
- Exposure to hot and cold weather, hazardous work areas.
- Physically demanding tasks and repetitive work.
- Handle heavy loads (up to 45 kg / 100 lbs).
- Ability to work under pressure and pay attention to detail.
- Urban construction site.
