Responsibilities
Tasks
• Preparing the area for concrete pouring by setting up forms, ensuring proper drainage, and cleaning the surface.
• Measuring, mixing and pouring concrete into the prepared area.
• Using tools like floats, trowels and edgers to create a smooth and even surface.
• Add colour or texture to the concrete surface for decorative purposes.
• Applying curing compounds or treatments to promote proper curing and strength of the concrete.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
• Patching cracks, resurfacing or applying protective coatings to maintain existing concrete surfaces.
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of floors, walls, roads and other concrete structures.
• Ensuring all work is conducted safely and complies with relevant regulations and codes.
• Regular maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Inspecting finished surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Renovate, resurface and substitute worn or damaged segments of floors, walls, roads and other concrete structures.
