Home Support Worker Needed for Elderly Father (Surrey, BC)
Sandhu Family is looking for a kind, patient, and reliable companion / home support worker to help care for his 73‑year‑old father. This is a non‑smoking, non‑alcoholic home environment, and we are hoping to welcome someone who values respect, calmness, and compassion.
Job details
Wage: $25 per hour
Optional Accommodation, not a condition of employment.
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Location: near 31 Ave 124 Street Surrey BC
Our father is a gentle, elderly man who needs daily support to stay comfortable, safe, and socially engaged at home. We are looking for someone who treats seniors with dignity and kindness.
Duties
- Assisting with daily personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming as needed)
- Helping with meal preparation and ensuring he eats on time
- Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Supporting light mobility around the home and short walks or simple outdoor activities when weather permits.
- Performing light housekeeping related to his care (tidying, laundry, dishes)
- Monitoring general well‑being and reporting any concerns to the family
- Encouraging a calm, positive daily routine
Who We’re Hoping to Find
- Someone caring, trustworthy, and patient
- Comfortable working in a quiet, respectful household
- Reliable and able to maintain consistent hours
- A High school graduate.
- Have completed minimum six months of related course /diploma/certificate OR must have equivalent related caregiving experience.
- CPR/ First Aid certificate
