Description

We are looking for a well-experienced Chef De Partie for “10tation Event Catering” located at 232 Norseman Street, Etobicoke, ON, M8Z 2R4 Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

 

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day production at an assigned kitchen station within a large-scale catering environment, ensuring food preparation meets established quality and presentation standards.

  • Prepare and cook complete dishes, specialty items, and components according to client-specific menus, service timelines, and event requirements.

  • Plan mise en place and station setup in advance of service periods, including portioning, seasoning, and staging ingredients to support efficient execution.

  • Supervise and coordinate cooks and kitchen helpers assigned to the station, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.

  • Enforce culinary standards for food quality, consistency, portion control, and plating to maintain the company’s reputation for premium event cuisine.

  • Collaborate with Sous Chef and Executive Chef to align station output with overall menu execution for weddings, corporate functions, and other catered events.

  • Monitor station inventory levels, inspect ingredient quality, and report shortages or quality concerns in advance of scheduled service.

  • Adjust preparation methods, timing, and sequencing during events to maintain service flow and synchronize with other food stations.

  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations, including temperature control and safe food handling in a high-capacity kitchen.

  • Support kitchen setup, breakdown, cleaning, and equipment readiness before and after events to maintain operational continuity and compliance with standards.

 

Prerequisites:

 

Education: Secondary school or equivalent

Experience & Skills: 5 years or more of experience in the food industry

Language: English


 

Hourly Rate: $36.00 to $38.00 for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
