Job Duties:
– Oversee and manage food preparation and cooking, ensuring authenticity in Japanese cuisine.
– Develop and design traditional Japanese menus, including sushi, sashimi, ramen, and tempura.
– Supervise and train kitchen staff, including sous-chefs and sushi chefs, to maintain high standards.
– Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients, sourcing premium seafood and other essential items.
– Estimate food supply requirements and control inventory to manage costs effectively.
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirement:
Completion of secondary school is usually required.
3-5 years of experience as a sous-chef is required.
Conditions.
Wage: $29-$30 / hour (To be negotiated) and 4% of vacation pay
Working Condition: 30 – 40 hours a week.
