(Catering Services Manager)

 

We are looking for a well-experienced Catering Services Manager for a well-known events and catering firm, Paramount Eventspace, located at 222 Rowntree Dairy Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L 9T2 Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee all catering service operations for weddings, corporate events, and large-scale banquets to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.

  • Determine service formats and staffing models for each event, implementing operational procedures that support high-volume, luxury service standards.

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise catering service staff, ensuring readiness for concurrent and back-to-back events.

  • Direct on-site service execution during events, monitoring service flow, timing, and coordination between service and culinary teams.

  • Control inventory and service supplies by forecasting event needs, coordinating procurement, and preventing shortages or overuse.

  • Monitor service-related revenues, labour usage, and operational costs, adjusting procedures to maintain efficiency and profitability.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations across all event spaces and service areas.

  • Resolve client and guest service concerns promptly during events, implementing service recovery measures when required.

  • Negotiate service arrangements with clients for banquets, receptions, and corporate functions, ensuring clear alignment on service scope and expectations.

  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to support event logistics, service setup, and timely execution.

Prerequisites:

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience.

Experience & Skills: 5 years or more experience preferably in the Food Industry or equivalent.

Language: English

 

Hourly Wage: $36 for 40 hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay,
