Bar Manager
We are looking for a well-experienced Bar Manager for a well-known events and catering firm, Paramount Eventspace, located at 222 Rowntree Dairy Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L 9T2 Canada.
No. of positions – 2
JOB DUTIES:
Plan, organize, and oversee bar operations for weddings, corporate events, and large-scale functions, ensuring efficient service delivery and high standards in beverage quality and guest experience.
Supervise bartenders and bar support staff by assigning duties, preparing schedules, and monitoring performance, ensuring adherence to professional bartending practices and service standards.
Oversee preparation and setup of bar stations, including mobile bars, ensuring readiness in accordance with event specifications, service timelines, and beverage program requirements.
Manage bar inventory, including alcoholic beverages, mixers, garnishes, and glassware, coordinating procurement and maintaining appropriate stock levels for high-volume events.
Monitor beverage preparation and service standards, including cocktail consistency, portion control, presentation, and compliance with responsible alcohol service regulations.
Apply knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverage trends to support execution of event-specific drink menus and specialty beverage offerings.
Address and resolve guest concerns related to bar service during events, ensuring timely service recovery and maintenance of client satisfaction.
Coordinate with event managers, culinary teams, and service leads to align beverage service with overall event flow and operational requirements.
Support implementation of beverage menus, pricing structures, and specialty drink programs in accordance with event contracts and company standards.
Conduct inspections of bar areas before, during, and after events to ensure cleanliness, equipment functionality, and compliance with health, safety, and service regulations.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Experience: 5 years or more in the beverage industry
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $36 to $38 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
